Frequently Asked Questions

If your question isn’t answered here, text or email me.

What actually happens during a session?

Every session begins with a conversation about what you’re hoping to experience and what your boundaries are. The bodywork unfolds at your pace and may include full-body touch, more intimate sensual bodywork, breathwork, and energy practices. The touch is one-directional: you receive, I do not. For a fuller description, visit the Your Session page.

What do I wear? Do I need to undress?

Wear whatever is comfortable. During the session, you disrobe to your level of comfort. There is no expectation either way, and you can adjust at any point.

Do you receive touch?

No. The touch is entirely one-directional. You receive; I do not. This boundary exists so you can focus completely on your own experience without any sense of obligation.

What if I don’t know what I want?

That’s completely normal. Many clients arrive without a clear agenda. The opening conversation helps us explore what might feel right, and the bodywork itself often reveals what your body is asking for.

What if I want to stop?

You can stop at any time, for any reason, without explanation. You can also slow down, pause, or redirect. We use a simple green/yellow/red system to make communication easy, and your own words are always welcome.

I’ve never done this before. Is that okay?

More than okay. Most of my clients hadn’t done anything like this before their first session. The session is paced to where you are.

I’ve experienced trauma. Is this safe for me?

I take this question seriously. This work is not therapy, and I am not a therapist in this context. What I can offer is a space where pacing, consent, and attunement are central. If you have a trauma history, I’d encourage you to reach out before booking so we can talk about what would feel safe. We’ll go at whatever pace your nervous system can receive.

How do you protect my privacy?

All communication is confidential. I use a dedicated phone number and email for client contact. Your name, your information, and everything that happens in a session stays between us.

What are your qualifications?

I’ve trained extensively in tantra, somatic bodywork, breathwork, energy work, and consent practices, including an immersive eight-day Tantric Practitioner Training. I hold Reiki Levels I and II and have trained in clinical hypnotherapy. I also hold a doctoral degree and have spent years as a professor and educator, training professionals in communication and presence. I have a background in healthcare and over thirty years of meditation practice. The full story is on the How I Got Here page

How is this different from a spa treatment?

A spa treatment focuses on relaxation and muscle tension. This work goes further: it incorporates intimate, sensual touch, breathwork, tantra, and energy practices. It’s designed to help you reconnect with sensation, pleasure, and your own body in ways that conventional bodywork doesn’t address.

How often do clients come back?

Many clients come weekly or monthly as part of an ongoing practice. This work deepens over time. That said, there’s no commitment. Some clients come once to explore.

Do you work with men or partners?

My practice is focused on individual sessions with women, trans men, and nonbinary people who were assigned female at birth. My hands-on training and experience are specific to these bodies, so I don't currently work with men or AMAB clients. I primarily conduct individual sessions, but on a case-by-case basis, I’m open to a partner being present. If this interests you, reach out and we can discuss.
