What to expect, how to prepare, and what to know

You don't need to have done this before.

Most people who reach out have never experienced this kind of work. Some are curious but uncertain. Some are nervous. Some aren't sure exactly what they're looking for: only that something feels missing, or that they want a different relationship with their own body. All of that is a fine place to start.
This page is here to answer the practical questions so you can arrive feeling more grounded and less in your head.

Before we meet
After you submit your intake form, I'll review your responses and follow up — usually within a day or two. If it seems like we're a good fit, we'll arrange a brief phone or text conversation to answer any remaining questions and confirm details. First-time clients complete a simple verification step as part of this process, which protects us both.
Once we've confirmed, I'll send you the session address and any logistical details.

How to prepare

Shower or bathe beforehand if possible: less for hygiene than for the grounding ritual of it
Avoid alcohol or heavy substances for at least a few hours before
Eat something light: not a heavy meal, but don't arrive depleted
Wear comfortable clothing you feel good in
Give yourself time on either side — don't rush in from something stressful, and don't book something immediately after

When you arrive
We'll begin by sitting together and talking. This isn't a formality: it's part of the work. We'll discuss what brought you in, where you are today, and any questions, limits, or preferences you want me to know. This is also when we establish explicit agreements about touch and communication.
There's no pressure to have everything figured out before we begin. The conversation is part of how we figure it out together.

During the session
You are in choice at every moment. You can slow down, pause, redirect, or stop: at any time, for any reason, without explanation. I will check in with you verbally throughout. You're also welcome to speak up whenever something doesn't feel right, or when something feels particularly good and you want more of it.
There is nothing you need to do. You don't need to perform comfort, respond in any particular way, or manage my experience. Your only job is to notice what's happening inside you and, when you can, let me know.

After the session
We'll close with some time to rest, reflect, and ground before you leave. This isn't rushed.
In the day or two following, some clients feel open, tender, or emotionally activated. This is normal. Drink water, be gentle with yourself, and if something feels like it needs attention, you're welcome to reach out.

Still have questions?
You're welcome to reach out before booking. I'd rather answer your question than have you arrive with uncertainty.
